Outdoor Adventures

The Wasatch Front is one of the best places in the country for outdoor recreation. Here are some favorites for this time of year.

Cecret Lake Trail

Albion Basin, Little Cottonwood Canyon

A moderate 1.5-mile round trip hike through wildflower-filled meadows to a stunning alpine lake surrounded by rugged peaks. One of the most scenic summer hikes on the entire Wasatch Front.

Draper Trail System

Draper

Over 100 miles of interconnected trails for hiking, mountain biking, and trail running. The Corner Canyon and BST (Burma Shelf Trail) networks are local favorites with varying difficulty levels.

Jordanelle State Park

Heber Valley

Boating, fishing, paddleboarding, and camping just 45 minutes from the Salt Lake Valley. A perfect day trip or weekend getaway for families who love being on the water.

Big Cottonwood Canyon

Between Sandy and Cottonwood Heights

A gateway to Solitude and Brighton ski resorts in winter, and incredible hiking, rock climbing, and wildflower viewing in summer. Don't miss Lake Blanche or Donut Falls.
